St. Kilda St. Patrick’s Day Festival Day 1

The St. Patrick's Festival, St. Kilda is a two-day festival held annually in celebration of Irish culture, bringing you a little taste of Ireland, right in the heart of Melbourne.

The FREE Family Event takes place on Saturday 15th March 2025 from 10am - 7pm in O'Donnell Gardens with live music and a parade. The event is open to families, tourists, backpackers and any other members or residents of the local community who want to join in celebrating Irish heritage.

Activities and entertainment throughout the day include:

  • Parade (11.00am) - walk from O'Donnell Gardens (Shakespeare Grove entrance) down Acland street to Acland Plaza. This year they are running a small Irish Dancing competition in Acland Plaza at the end of the parade.

  • Roving Entertainers

  • Irish Dancing

  • Dog Show

  • Live Music

  • Face Painters

  • Bodhran Workshops

  • Beer Garden (adults only!)
